Bonnie J. Nasuta, age 27, of Brattleboro was arrested on April 14, 2010 for attempting to elude, criminal DLS, resisting arrest, and unlawful mischief. Officer Scott Lane of the Vernon Police Department took Nasuta into custody. She was then transported to the Springfield Correctional Facility to answer the charge at a later date in the Windham Dostrice Court in Brattleboro.

Narrative:
On Sunday, April 11, 2010 at approximately 1049 hours, the Vernon Police Department stopped Bonnie J. Nasuta, 27, of Brattleboro, for an expired inspection sticker. Subsequent investigation revealed Nasuta to be driving with a Criminally Suspended License. Nasuta was arrested and transported to the Vernon Police Department where she was processed. Nasuta was issued a citation to appear in Windham District Court on May 27, 2010.

The Peers Youth have produced award-winning drug and alcohol prevention programs for the past 15 years. The 2010 program, Peers Influence Peers XVI; Through Their Eyes, will examine the pervasive problem of domestic and dating violence. It will look at the role drug and alcohol use plays, how the violence affects children and families, how to recognize symptoms, and what to do about it. Studies have shown that alcohol and other drug abuse is often linked to domestic violence and child abuse.
Working with the Office of Violence Against Women – U.S. Department of Justice, Break the Cycle, and My Sister’s Place, the youth of Peers Influence Peers Partnership say they hope to provide their peers and families with the information and tools to address domestic and dating violence. This is a video produced by high school students for high school students.

Feds: Christian militia needed to be ‘taken down’
DETROIT – Federal authorities had been monitoring members of a Michigan-based Christian militia for some time but were forced to “take them down” over the weekend after learning of an imminent threat against police, the U.S. attorney leading the prosecution said Tuesday.
Barbara McQuade’s comments came three days after eight members of a small group of “Christian warriors” were arrested in several Midwestern states and a day after the FBI nabbed a ninth suspect, Joshua Stone, following a standoff at a trailer in rural Michigan.
“The time had come that we needed to arrest them and take them down,” McQuade told The Associated Press in an interview at her office.
Across the street in Detroit federal court, Stone was arraigned Tuesday and was ordered held without bond until a hearing Wednesday.

DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT:
Bonnie J. Nasuta 27 of Brattleboro was arrested on March 24th in Vernon. Officer Scott Lane of the Vernon Police Department stopped Nasuta’s vehicle on Rte. 142 in Vernon and found that Nasuta had a criminally suspended license. Nasuta was taken into custody and released with a citation to appear in Windham District Court on April 27th to answer to the charge of Driving with a Criminally Suspended License.

“Ford first introduced its police package in 1950 and today the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is the industry leader,” explains Jalopnik. “The automaker’s dominated the streets to the point that over the last five years, Ford’s controlled more than 70% of the patrol cars sold. … Unfortunately, the Crown Vic’s Panther-platform’s getting a little long in the tooth — it hasn’t seen a redesign in over 15 years.”
